We estimate summer 2017. Please join our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/elmhurst.brewing to keep up-to-date on announcements and details.
We are renovating 171 N Addison, a centrally-located spot in downtown Elmhurst.
We will be a full-service brewpub offering our beer, food, guest taps, wine and craft spirits.
We are planning a diverse menu designed to appeal to all types of eaters, with more of a focus on items not found in other dining establishments in Elmhurst.
Yes, absolutely! The two of us have 6 children combined under the age of 10 and understand what makes a dining establishment more relaxing for parents, and for their children.
Our focus is honestly very broad, ranging from Weiss beers to ales to stouts and porters.
We will fill both glass growlers (64oz) and crowlers (32oz cans sealed while-you-wait) on-site.
Yes, our property allows for a large, private area outside where we plan on having seating during 3 seasons, if not 4. It will also be used for special events and festivals.

We have been consistently impressed with everything Chris makes at Exit Strategy in Forest Park, and the guys at Alter have made fantastic beers, as has Paul at Noon Whistle in Lombard.

Honestly there are so many great microbreweries nearby, too many to mention, but now it’s time for Elmhurst to have our own!

Oak Park didn’t want us as they have 4 microbreweries, and Hinsdale only wants wine bars, so here we are! Just kidding – we are both long-time Elmhurst residents, have raised our children here, and we want to stay here and enjoy the growth of our great community.

And provide something Elmhurst doesn’t have, but should.

Not at first, we plan on getting everything running smoothly first, and then growing into distribution. We will sell kegs to Elmhurst restaurants and bars. You can always stop by for a growler or crowler!
We honestly don’t know. They do seem to appreciate us after a few beers, though…

ABOUT

The Elmhurst Brewing Company was created to meet the rapidly-growing demand for local, high-quality craft beer that the country, the state of Illinois, and our neighboring suburbs have been seeing for the last few years.

With the Chicago success stories of Goose Island, Revolution Brewing, and Half Acre, and the western suburban successes of Two Brothers and many more, we feel Elmhurst is overdue for its own microbrewery.

As two experienced business owners who live in Elmhurst and are dedicated to our community, we are committed to building and operating a successful family-friendly destination for the enjoyment of craft beer.

Our mission is to become a source of pride for Elmhurst residents by building a preferred destination for both families and craft beer drinkers to eat, drink, and socialize within their community, and to do so with the best ingredients and constantly-changing styles and types of beer offerings.
